Unable to open the request from the side bar following new change to board functions

Hi All

Following the update to Board Manager yesterday we have come across an issue - some of our boards have tailored data so we are unable to insert the normal link to open a request as shown in this image:

 

Previously we accessed the request from the side bar by clicking into the card but now when you click on the card you get the new information window pop up, but we are unable to open the side bar to access the request link.

 

Ideally I would want to be able to inject the link into the custom data cards but I understand this is not possible. As a workaround my team is copying the request number above and copying it into another Edge window in Service Manager. Are we able to inject a link and if not how do we restore the side bar open function please?

Hi,

The information in the sidebar should be the same as that in the popup, how are you storing the link?  If it was in the link field you should see a button in the preview popup to open the link and ther eshould also be a button on the card?  Even with cutom data you should still be able to get a link to the request if the card type is set to be a request

I am sure when I ran through this with Victor it was confirmed I could not insert a link into the custom card data but if I can then that's great. I will try it now on a test request and let you know what happens
