Adam Toms Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Hi all, I've not seen this error before, hence reaching out on the forums, but we're now seeing digital signature errors in ITOM, which is preventing jobs from running, this seems to have happened in the last 30 mins. Or so, trying to workout whether this is causing others impact, or whether it is something that is unique to ourselves. Many Thanks Adam
Graham Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Hi @Adam Toms Can you post details of the error you're seeing, please? Graham
Adam Toms Posted January 9 Author Posted January 9 Hi @Graham, Thanks for your reply. All jobs have successfully ran up until 11:07am this morning, then our next ITOM automated job ran 11:43am and failed. I've grabbed the screenshot Which I've found easier to provide via screenshot. All job types are now failing with this error. Can't spot a common theme as to why as of yet hence reaching out on the forum, if i need to raise a support call, happy to do so. Many Thanks. Graham Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Hi @Adam Toms Thanks for the detail. When we run jobs, these are supervised by a separate executable, which is remotely deployed to the target computer. Before doing this, in order to validate system integrity, the digital signature of this executable is checked. It is this check which is failing. The error code 0x800B0109 translates as "A certificate chain processed, but terminated in a root certificate which is not trusted by the trust provider." If, on the computer running the SIS service, you navigate to C:\Program Files\Hornbill\Site Integration Server\exec\win\x64 and display the properties of the EspSisExec.exe file in that folder and then pick the Digital Signatures tab, select the signer from the list and then click the "Details" button., what is displayed?
Adam Toms Posted January 9 Author Posted January 9 Just in case anyone gets this again, and thank you to @Graham for his help, the problem was with the cert stored locally on the ITOM server itself.
