Gareth Cantrell Posted November 18 Posted November 18 I was wondering if there was an easy way to set the default home page for a subset of users? There is a user setting, "app.view.default" which can be used to set this, and I was wondering if there is a way to set this when syncing the users from EntraID? Our use case is currently that we have a sub-set of the portal translated and we'd like to ensure that our non-English users always land on the simplified translated home page.
Gareth Cantrell Posted November 25 Author Posted November 25 Given the lack of response, I'm guessing that this is not possible, other than logging into each user's account using a support passcode and manually setting their default view?
Gareth Cantrell Posted November 27 Author Posted November 27 So after some testing; elevating a basic user to full user and then setting the default view, and then demoting them back to a basic user doesn't do anything, even though the setting remains in the h_sys_app_user_settings table for the user. Basically, there is no way of changing the default view for a basic user.
James Ainsworth Posted Tuesday at 17:12 Posted Tuesday at 17:12 Hi @Gareth Cantrell I'm not completely sure if this is what you are looking for, but you can use the combination of having different Company Groups within your organization where a primary Company Group can be applied to a user and then that user would land on a different page. https://docs.hornbill.com/esp-config/customize/employee-portal/employee-portal-configuration#company I've not had a chance to look to see how translations apply to this.
Gareth Cantrell Posted 5 hours ago Author Posted 5 hours ago @James Ainsworth this appears to be setting the colour schemes, fonts and the link from the logo, rather than a separate home page. I may be missing something, however I also don't want to break a live system by experimenting too much.
