davidrb84 Posted October 23 Posted October 23 So we may be about to go through a process of changing our "usernames". While I can't spot where it indicates it, I assume "User ID" is what we're matching on when going through SAML auth. is there a programatic way to change/update a User ID, or would it be a case of creating the new user, assigning a license, re-assigning all old tickets, changing the customer on any old tickets, assigning the correct roles, adding the user to any relevant teams, etc.
Steve Giller Posted October 24 Posted October 24 The unique identifier for Login is the Login ID rather than the User ID. The User ID cannot be changed, however the Login ID can and this should be relatively straightforward, especially if you are using one of the User Import tools to keep your User Data updated.
davidrb84 Posted October 24 Author Posted October 24 That's excellent news! We do currently use LDAP sync (somewhat unhappily) is there reference documentation I can get access to, to enable us to try and make this change? We aren't against using APIs if required.
Steve Giller Posted October 24 Posted October 24 LDAP User Import Documentation is here. Please ensure you are using the latest version.
