CraigP Posted October 14 Posted October 14 I'm trying to set up a view for a colleague that will show incidents due to breach within the next week. I see there are options like "today", "previous month" etc in the middle drop down, but ideally I'm looking for these sorts of variables to be available in the right hand date picker when "after" or "before" is selected in the middle drop down. There is a "Date and Time Picker Help" popup that details shortcuts like "Today" and "Next Monday", but as far as I can tell these don't work when entered. I wasn't even expecting they would act as variables, just that I would enter the "shortcut" and it would at least set the field to that date, but it doesn't even do that, am I missing something? Essentially I want to set it up where the before and after dates aren't hardcoded so the user doesn't have to manually update the view parameters every time they open the view on a new day. Can this be made possible? 1

These are what I refer to as "point in time" variables (feel free to give them your own name) which means that they resolve now to the correct value (e.g. "Today" would be 14/10/2024) but are not dynamic - they don't check what "Today" is every time you open the View. 11 minutes ago, CraigP said: Essentially I want to set it up where the before and after dates aren't hardcoded so the user doesn't have to manually update the view parameters every time they open the view on a new day. This is not currently available. The option has been discussed internally but unless it appears on the Service Manager Roadmap (under the Solution Center) there is nothing to announce. The only "rolling" options are the "Last 7/30/x Days" settings.

As I said, I wasn't actually expecting them to work dynamically as variables, I was pointing out they didn't seem to work even as a one time "get this date/time according to the date/time now". However this appears to be me misunderstanding the "Next Monday" option because it was setting it to the current time. I have now tried some others listed and they do appear to work, so I assume the "Next Monday" option is in fact treating today (a Monday) as "Next Monday", when I was assuming "next" would not include today. My mistake. 15 minutes ago, Steve Giller said: The option has been discussed internally but unless it appears on the Service Manager Roadmap (under the Solution Center) there is nothing to announce.
