Joy Posted October 2, 2024 Posted October 2, 2024 Hello, I hope you can assist or point me in the right direction, as I am attempting to set a due date/time reminder notification. So far it has not worked. I assume this should provide a Hornbill bell notification? The Custom field 21 variable is a date/time field. Whilst I have set, saved and published the remind drop down selection to 0 minutes and 5 minutes, each time I come back into the workflow it appears as blank again. I have looked for further details in documentation, but cannot locate info on exactly how to set this up. Please also see the assigned task below, that appears to suggest the due by is there. Is there something I am doing wrong?
David Hall Posted October 3, 2024 Posted October 3, 2024 Hi @Joy I've just had a quick look at this, selecting 0 does appear to leave the remind drop down selection showing as blank when you reopen the workflow, however in my tests using 5 mins or values above that do save and display correctly for me. If you could try adding a new task node again and selecting the 5 min option, saving the workflow, reload and reopen the task and check if the value is still present or not. If its still not saving correctly then it may be best to log a request with the support team so that we can investigate on your instance. Kind regards, Dave
Joy Posted October 8, 2024 Author Posted October 8, 2024 Hi @David Hall I created a very simple new process to test again as guided. In terms of the timeframe saving in the workflow, this element is now performing as expected. However, when I run a test I still don't receive a reminder notification. Are there any other settings, that could impact this working? Thanks
Steve Giller Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 What value are you passing via Custom 21, and at what time was it passed? One issue with testing is that we necessarily use short timeframes - so if the due date contained in h_custom_21 is 14:00 and you create the Task at 13:45 the reminder will have already passed and will not be sent.
Joy Posted October 8, 2024 Author Posted October 8, 2024 Hi @Steve Giller Request raised this morning at 09:36, with deadline of 12:00, and the reminder set to 1:00 before deadline.
Steve Giller Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 That's definitely not out of time, then, not even allowing for BST. Are you able to check if the System Administrator account received a reminder as the Owner, please?
