Good afternoon,

This is a continuation of this thread:

I am liking the vertical list so far but only without a background. I wanted to use a background but it looks like this:

I ticked Hide Margin and it looks like this:

image.thumb.png.a50850d612cfdd9c9434d96b63757cd4.png

I then completely removed the background and margin from the widget and focused solely on the link items and here is what it looks like individually:

(I'm not sure why the Business World On link looks like that - there is plenty of space for it to work with)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please can I request for all (or some) of the following enhancements to the horizontal list:

  1. For the widget, Remove the blank space below the horizontal list (possibly the easiest)
  2. For the widget, Allow setting of vertical alignment, (Top, Middle, Bottom)
  3. For the widget, Allow setting of horizontal alignment (Left, Middle, Right)
  4. For the widget, Allow setting the height of the widget
  5. For the widget, Allow setting the internal padding around the List Items
  6. For individual List Items, allow specifying the padding around the text
  7. For individual List Items, enable/disable rounded borders
  8. For individual List Items, allow setting hover colours on the background and text

Hello @samwoo,

Thank you for the suggestions. I tried to replicate a similar example as you gave.

So first without any extra configuration the extra space at the bottom of the links should be removed.

Next, I did try to add a background colour to individual links and it is true that sometimes it looks much nicer if at least when using a border that also padding would be added.

The only thing is that just to make sure we don't break anything to anyone I will add an extra option for padding in a similar way you can add a border. It will be fixed and more or less relative to the amount of space that you see around.

The borders should be rounded to keep it inline with the widget border.

I am reluctant to add more options because I want things to remain simple as possible.

I think with these improvements most of the list that you suggested are no longer needed or fulfilled.

Please let me know what you think.

Thanks,

Daniel.

Hi @Daniel Dekel,

Looks great! I know what you mean by keeping it simple, it certainly looks like you've achieved that and made it look good in the process 🤯

Thanks for the prompt response!
