New Board Manager functionality

Morning all,

I've been away on leave and come back to the new Board Manager set as the default in Hornbill. However, I'm unable to do some 'stuff' that I used to be able to do on the old Board Manager. I may have missed it in the announcements/forums (I have searched), but does anybody know:

- how I can apply a tag to a card on the Change Management Board? I used to be able to add a colour coding/text to cards, as shown below:

I don't seem able to do that now.......

- I don't seem to be able to 'drag' a card from one lane to another. For example, any change requests that were cancelled prior to the implementation phase could be dragged to the 'Delete Change' lane and thereby removed from the board. I can't do that now.

Does anybody have any thoughts?

Just to add, I've checked with my local HB admin team and I remain a Board Manager Super User. However, I've also noted that the admin team have retained the functionality that I've lost, so is it possible that it is a role/permission issue?

Hi,

Tagging card is done by clicking the tags button in the preview panel that opens in the righthand side when you click on a card, there is no change in this functionality from the previous version.   Dragging cards has also not been changed and is dependent on your board permissions, you need to have Can Move permissions.  Dragging can also be diasbled in the Board Config poup if the option "Disable manual moving of cards" is checked.

Thanks Trevor - yes, I was happily using the tagging function from the preview panel up until the new Board was made mandatory. However, I don't now get the option to add a tag (or any of the other options):

I am not aware that any of my permissions have been changed. Any further thoughts why I may have lost that functionality?

I'll speak to the admin team and ask them to confirm that the 'dragging' permissions have not been amended.

Just to confirm, we've had a look and "Disable manual moving of cards" option is off on the board in question, and Neil has the "Board Super User" role which appears to include the "Can Move" application right.

Is there anything else that may prevent the tag/moving functionality for a particular user?

Hi,

That appears to suggest you don't have the correct permissions for the board in question, you'll need to make sure the board has been shared with you and you have Move and Update permissions for that specific board.  You can check the permissions in the share Board popup accessed from the right hand drop down menu in the boards view.
