Adrian Simpkins Posted September 12 Posted September 12 Hi All One of my colleagues who I am training up to action ICs / BPMs has a test script she created where she wanted to capture the desktop computer asset, then the associated printer asset. However when we run the IC we only get the 1st asset capture node come up and it appears to skip the 2nd asset node for the printer. I can not see what would cause this so wanted to check is this expected behaviour in that we can only capture one asset in an IC? Below image shows the 1st asset node set to filter to Computer System in the Select Asset Class, and the 2nd node is set to filter to Printer in the Select Asset Class. It just appears to ignore this after the guidance is shown and moves straight to Finish. Both the assets nodes are set to True in the Is Mandatory field as well. Many thanks as always Adrian
Steve Giller Posted September 12 Posted September 12 You cannot have two separate Asset forms in a Capture. 1
Adrian Simpkins Posted September 12 Author Posted September 12 Thanks for confirming Steve, I did suspect that may be the case so just wanted to confirm that
Peter Clough Posted September 12 Posted September 12 You could presumably use a customised form for the asset list and specify in that that it needs to be those types of asset. I've not tested this, it may well do the same thing you're already getting, but is probably worth an attempt. 1
Steve Giller Posted September 12 Posted September 12 You could do something with the "Get Assets By Class" or "Get Assets By Type" data providers: 1
Adrian Simpkins Posted September 13 Author Posted September 13 Thanks both, I will see if we do need to capture 2 assets in one IC and then have a play if needed - it was more of a test scenario as she was trying the system Many thanks as always !
