Jim Posted September 2 Posted September 2 Weird one this that I will log an issue directly about also, but just an attempt at explaining the issue, one of our change requests is not showing the data in the details forms from the custom fields, I have copied from the details changed timeline entry and saved the information again, this displayed fine, then disappeared, what's even more weird is that it also disappeared from the database ?? I've purposely cropped the image below for obvious reasons but you can see the changes were committed
Steve Giller Posted September 2 Posted September 2 Are you mapping any Custom Fields from the Capture into an inappropriate type? e.g. mapping a text answer into a numeric field, or a number into a date field, etc?
Jim Posted September 2 Author Posted September 2 Hi, Yes some from the intelligent capture, most are just in the details form directly, This has worked for months its just this one request that's behaving oddly
Jim Posted September 2 Author Posted September 2 Just re read your comment, -- No, they are mapped from the intelligent capture, and just directly edited in the details section for the most part. These are all mapped to the correct field types etc and validation is in place where necessary
Sam P Posted September 2 Posted September 2 I had this with a Change the other day - I had to get the ticket re-logged. The CF's were not populated so none of the automation worked. I logged a test ticket which was not affected and its not happened again since.
Jim Posted September 5 Author Posted September 5 @Steve Giller This turned out to be a large text input going into a limited string field, hence the failure to save. I had to miss one validation out of the 40 odd fields in that form the joys
