Gareth Cantrell Posted August 22 Posted August 22 When setting up a group in the organisational structure (department, team, etc), when associating users to these groups it is possible to assign them as members, team leads or managers. Whilst this is great, I have yet to find a way to extract and use this information in an automation node and am wondering if this is doable, and I've missed it somewhere, or if it is not possible to do this. If not, how would we go about configuring team and department managers to be able to use this information in workflows?
Berto2002 Posted August 22 Posted August 22 This is what we use to alert our team managers if request feedback is 3 or less: I admit that has been in since before I arrived and I have never checked it works
Gareth Cantrell Posted August 22 Author Posted August 22 That solves one of my 2 requirements - not sure how I missed that The other issue I have is I can find the department of the customer, but there is no way to find the manager for that department which we are increasingly starting to need for certain authorisations. Right now, the only option I can think of is to list every employee on the ICF and ask the requestor to select the right employee for the department manager.
Steve Giller Posted August 22 Posted August 22 There isn't a node to return the Manager/Team Leader for an Organisation (i.e. not a Team) but if you set aside one of the Custom Attributes to store the Manager this will be available to the Workflow via the Get Organisation Details node.
