I can update the data in some questions in the Questions tab, but no option to update it if its a date field?

Hi All

Just trying to understand why we can update some data fileds in the question tab but others we are not able to amend. 1st image shows where i can amend the data, and the 2nd image shows the date field I am unable to amend - is this expected that we can update some but not all fields here? NB it is not something we will do very often as I know we should retain the questions as an audit trail in effect, but wanted to understand why not possible to change some fields?

Yes.

Only text fields can be edited in this way.

@Steve Giller I can see why various drop downs/check boxes can not be edited this way but date fields would make sense to be editable

I haven't checked the reasons, but as these are generated from an Intelligent Capture I would suggest that this is purely practical.

A text field is a text field, and editing this is simple.
A Date field may have specific ranges applied, it may be part of a from:to date set, it may require a time or need to have no time - all of these would be specified in the Capture, so we would need to load in the Capture (in fact, the exact version of the Capture, which may have been deleted in the meantime) to gather those restrictions and then apply them to the new entry etc.
