Regex Validation message not visible in Tasks

Hi all, I have a Human Task with Capture Outcome Fields, one of which has Regex validation against it.  When completing the information in the single line text field, the validation seems to work however the validation message does not, which means its unclear why the Outcome button is not active.  

Please could the Regex validation button be made visible for Human Tasks (or show me where I have gone wrong here - the Regex is widely used elsewhere and is working fine to collect a 12 digit string with no spaces).

Will be fixed from core ui build > 2217, expect such FIX to appear in the release note.
