Unable to set a catalogue item without an IC set?

Hi All

We have an older service where we have a number of child requests that spawn from the parent. In the Service Portfolio we were able to set these without an IC as below shows:

I  am working on another process where we will have a parent request, and child requests will spawn as required - however it appears we can no longer set the catalogue item without an IC being set - is this expected? I did a search of settings but could not see anything obvious around the IC in a new catalogue item

I do this regularly on our processes, use any IC and if its auto logged it just doesn't use it anyway, but you need the catalog item to map the process to it

Hi Jim - thanks, yes I have set it up with any old IC, was just interested why I could set it previously with no IC, but now cant

as far as we can see, the Intelligent Capture on a catalog item has been set as required since a long time.

I tend to believe, if the CI was created without Intelligent Capture, either there was a defect that's been fixed or it was created a long long time ago, where maybe was not required.

Normally, if a Catalog Item does not have an Intelligent Capture assigned, it is because the one that was assigned has been removed or deactivated.
