Delete or Archiving

The bin icon on a message when hovered about says Archive, however when tab - a messages comes up are you sure you want to delete this message ?

 

Am I deleting or achieving the message somewhere?

If you're referring to emails, then "Archive" is deleting from any folder other than Deleted Items - which moves them to Deleted Items.
If you delete from the Deleted Items then they are fully deleted.

This is mimicking the behaviour of most Email clients.
