July updates: Automation for the people, waitlists, and video walkthroughs galore

Sadly, we can’t offer you any sunshine in this dreary summer, but read on for rays of learning updates including links to register for upcoming Academy Live sessions.

 

Last month wrap-up

 

In case you missed it, we recently kicked off our program of Academy learning around automation.

Workflow essentials for automating your business processes provided an introduction to Hornbill’s Workflow designer, how Workflows underpin the operations of the service desk, and how they provide the perfect engine for automating your business processes, not just within IT, but across departments.

 

Overall, the session was rated as 4.8 stars out of 5 .

 

90% of participants reported that as a result of the training they have more confidence in using the Workflow Designer to create and manage workflows. And 100% of participants reported that they are motivated to apply what they learned to enhance their organisation’s Workflow automations. One participant reported “The trainer was excellent, they explained concepts and technicalities in a concise and easy to understand way. Labs were an excellent reflection of what we had just learned and a great way to enforce the knowledge just gained.”

We’ll be adding video walkthroughs to the on-demand versions of Academy Live courses for those who can’t attend, or need more time after the sessions to recap.

Next up, we have two Academy Live sessions that continue our journey on the topic of automation. As usual, there’s morning and afternoon sessions to choose from:

• 4th September - Optimizing Workflows for automation: Best practices and strategies. 

  In this session you’ll explore some key areas of Hornbill’s Workflow designer tool to facilitate automations in your business processes. Find out more and register.

• 2nd October - Connect Workflows to external systems to elevate IT automation with ITOM. In this session you will explore how Hornbill’s ITOM application allows you to connect your on-premises systems to Hornbill for automating routine IT tasks. Find out more and register.
