Notifications for request members

I have been looking around to see whether there are any options available to notify request members when updates are made to a request.

Digging through the application settings, I have found the following settings for request owners, but nothing for request members (NOT connections!):

• guest.app.requests.notification.notificationType.emailUpdate
• guest.app.requests.notification.notificationType.portalUpdate

Is there a way to notify request members on request updates? 

Our requirement is for request members to be kept up to date on what is happening in a particular request without having to go through each request they've been added as members to.
This is especially true for our Security teams when dealing with security incidents.

Membership of a Request is designed around granting ad-hoc access to Users who do not Support that Service, rather than as a notification mechanism.

Any additions around this functionality would need to be requested as an enhancement to the product.
