Gareth Cantrell Posted June 20, 2024 Posted June 20, 2024 We're trying to embed a Microsoft Streams video in some FAQs, however these just show as a blank media player, which refuses to show any content. I should note that our MS Streams content is private to the organisation and not publicly shared. Is there something we need to enable on the MS Streams side to allow Hornbill to show this content?
Jim Posted June 20, 2024 Posted June 20, 2024 I would say it almost certainly needs to be public or unlisted to use YouTube terminology, Not sure if streams offers the unlisted option, as there's no way when I've tried this in the past to authenticate else
Steve Giller Posted June 20, 2024 Posted June 20, 2024 I found this Microsoft document with some requirements for embedding in third party sites - Streams isn't something I use, so that's about the best I can offer at present.
Gareth Cantrell Posted June 21, 2024 Author Posted June 21, 2024 @Steve Giller unfortunately, Hornbill doesn't recognise the embed link as a media stream and so the FAQ displays nothing where a video stream is expected. Copying the full iframe code from the embed link also has no effect in an FAQ, even if I use the "Source" button in the editor to paste in the raw HTML.
