JanS2000 Posted June 7, 2024 Posted June 7, 2024 Hi, I've created a copy of an existing workflow to test some changes I want to make. I've done a new intelligent capture form for the test workflow. All the test requests I'm creating against the new workflow aren't working as I'd expect, which is first automatically assigning to the group specified in the assignment node of the workflow then updating the request details in the request update node. I've compared it against other workflows that work, and the original one I copied, and everything looks okay, but it's just not working. I don't get any errors. It just doesn't do what I'd expect it to do. The requests don't appear in any of the manage executed workflows lists. The request is completely blank when I open it after logging it via the portal (the update request should put the summary and description in that's set in the update details node), and the request should get automatically assigned to the service desk team. Even when I manually assign to myself and the SD team, the rest of the flow doesn't kick in. It's probably something really obvious that I'm missing, but I don't have anyone internally that I can run this by, so hoping that someone here may be able to give me some pointers. It's set up in the service portfolio and is published to the portal (I've got a test service I use for this type of work, which is published to the portal but not visible to end users).
Victor Posted June 7, 2024 Posted June 7, 2024 @JanS2000 it appears that your request did not spawn a workflow, so there is no workflow actually running...
JanS2000 Posted June 7, 2024 Author Posted June 7, 2024 Okay thanks @Victor. The workflow is active and the service is published. I've done multiple tests on this process and they're all the same. I've created other workflows and not had this problem before. Do you have any suggestions on what could cause it or how I can diagnose what's happening? Thanks

yelyah.nodrog Posted June 10, 2024 Posted June 10, 2024 I have just raised a incident with HB because whenever we make a change to an existing intelligent cap it no longer spawns the Workflow. Have been pulling my hair out since last Monday about it thinking its something we are doing but these are long standing processes that we haven't changed anything in apart from wording or something minor. 1
JanS2000 Posted June 10, 2024 Author Posted June 10, 2024 I'll raise one for ours as well. I thought it was just me doing something wrong (could still be but can't think what). I'll keep in mind that re the intelligent capture - I haven't changed any existing ones and won't till this is resolved.
