SteveJackson Posted June 6, 2024 Posted June 6, 2024 First post - be gentle! I work in an NHS Acute Trust that has been using Hornbill for a couple of years or so. Recently I have been added to the Hornbill Team specifically to review everything currently in place to see what can be improved/streamlined. The first thing I wanted to do was include an additional attribute from the user's AD account. I looked at the LDAP connector that is in place, and working happily, and thought that it would be a straightforward case of adding the additional attribute to the list and then mapping it to one of the Custom Fields. So I did. Fast forward a couple of weeks and the information has utterly failed to appear in the user's account on Hornbill. Is anybody able to give me any pointers as to what I need to check to see why it isn't working? Do I need to create a new LDAP connector from scratch? Thanks in advance!
Steve Giller Posted June 6, 2024 Posted June 6, 2024 The very first thing I would investigate is which tool is importing the data, and whether you are on the latest version. It may well be the User Import - LDAP tool, in which case if you are version 3.x this will need updating and reconfiguring to ensure all the latest updates and fixes are in place. If you are already on version 4.x please check that (in order) The scheduled import is still running The log files are not reporting any error(s) If so, please check the Troubleshooting guide for common messages The configuration matches the format in the Documentation (this changed in places between 3.x and 4.x) If all else fails, get in touch with Support.
SteveJackson Posted June 6, 2024 Author Posted June 6, 2024 Thanks for the tips! That's me sorted for tomorrow.
