Bulk Asset Updates - Changing State to Archived

Good Afternoon

Please can someone give advice on how we can bulk update assets - so we can change the state to "archived"?  

We are Disabling or Deleting assets from AD when they have not been used for a specific time period, so we would like the Asset State to be changed to Archived.. can anyone recommend a process on how they are able to do this without it being a manual task?

The Asset Import Tool can do this by simply running on a schedule.
