Enhancement or existing? Can Connections be notified of Updates? (i.e. those with visibility Customer)?

We often hear from our line managers or other connections (Basic Users) that they want to be kept updated on a Request.

Is there any way they can be notified either through options or if anyone has found a way of capturing Customer or Analyst updates have having them pinged-out?

This has been asked before and rejected. Gerry feels it is giving too much functionality to a Connection - if you want this then make them an Agent!

Along with connection management in general - if someone is added as a connection to a request, be they a basic or full user, we need the option to have them notified of updates to the request.
