Berto2002 Posted October 13, 2023 Posted October 13, 2023 I was logging a test Request through the front-end today and the answers to the questions are not appearing in the Summary Panel as I go. All the Form Fields have "Show this field in summary panel once form is completed" ticked (checked). They all suddenly appeared when I ticked the last box on the form: Which is configured like this. I think there's something in the background that is only showing the answers in the Summary Panel when the Next button is eligible to be pressed on the form? Or perhaps it's when certain mandated fields have been completed? I did a new test and ticked the last question FIRST (the one at the bottom) and then, all the rest of the fields did appeared as I filled them in, as expected. I think we have a defect here.
Miro Posted October 13, 2023 Posted October 13, 2023 Hi @Berto2002 Are these missing fields overwritten by conditions? If yes, do you have "show this field in summary..." flag selected in overwritten condition? Thank you, Miro
Berto2002 Posted October 13, 2023 Author Posted October 13, 2023 Hi @Miro, Many of these Form Fields have over-ride conditions. This is the list of italics/non-italics that shows the full list: However, the override conditions do not have the "show this field in summary..." option: They rely on the option being set in the Default flags and we have all those set to ticked: Two fields that have NO overrides are the start and end date as below and these are not showing as we fill them in: Configured thus (no override):
Miro Posted October 13, 2023 Posted October 13, 2023 @Berto2002 added to problems to investigate. I guess it could be due to missing option in conditions. Will notify you here when I got something. Thank you, Miro
Berto2002 Posted October 16, 2023 Author Posted October 16, 2023 @Miro in the 2.5 years I've worked on this tool, there has never been a "how this field in summary..." field in the override flags area (although always wondered why that is the only one of the 5 options missing!)
Estie Posted October 16, 2023 Posted October 16, 2023 @MiroNot sure if this is related but a user has reported that on Friday afternoon the 'finish' button in a form was greyed out despite all mandatory fields having been completed in the form (being completed from analyst side/raise new button). Seems OK this morning.
Miro Posted October 25, 2023 Posted October 25, 2023 @Berto2002 I'm struggling with replication of the problem - I guess I'm missing something fundamental here. Would it be possible if you create a simple test flow just with few fields necessary to show the issue, then export it and send it to me? This way I can much faster find out what is wrong. Just as a tip - right side is being updated only when left side (form) has a VALID status.
Berto2002 Posted November 2, 2023 Author Posted November 2, 2023 @Miro I have sent you another ICF form in which we are having this issue also. It completes fields as it goes but then stops and only populates the last 4 in the summary box when the very last ICF field is entered.
Miro Posted November 6, 2023 Posted November 6, 2023 Hello @Berto2002 Thank you for taking the time to replicate the issue and show it to me. The flows you sent me were indeed very useful. Issue appears to be quite tricky and happen only if the last field in form was invalid (for example mandatory and empty). I will send fix to build process now and if no issues found it should go thru our release process and appear hopefully soon under TAG: Quote FIX: Inteligent Capture - answers not appearing in Summary Panel until certain mandated Form Fields are answered So right side will be updated even if left side (form) is invalid. Thank you, Miro
Berto2002 Posted November 8, 2023 Author Posted November 8, 2023 I think Miro found something when I sent an ICF so we may see something to fix this in future. However, it's not a biggie for sure.
