Berto2002 Posted August 16, 2023 Posted August 16, 2023 I set "guest.ui.app.com.hornbill.servicemanager.operation.defaultVisibility.update" to Public and yet all the Requests then have the default of "Customer"... but I did not select Customer, I selected Public (and Public is open to all my analysts but not the Customer, I believe). This setting: Gives this result: And this setting: Gives this result: Indeed, while there are five options in the "guest.ui.app.com.hornbill.servicemanager.operation.defaultVisibility.update" settings, there are only two for Updates in the UI: But I would have expected to see all five options there on the UI? Perhaps this explains why the Public Setting is not working; it is trying to set Public but then defaults to Customer as not a valid option? But then I notice this dichotomy exists for the equivalent Assets setting too; but the Public setting does 'take' even though there are only two options in the UI drop-down:
Berto2002 Posted August 16, 2023 Author Posted August 16, 2023 Nodes in the BPM that update the timeline (and which for an odd reason are listed against the Customer's name) also are going out as Customer visible when visibility is configured in the node to "Ignore" (i.e. should be using the app setting):
Berto2002 Posted August 17, 2023 Author Posted August 17, 2023 @samwoo, @Adrian Simpkins do you guys have this set? Any experiences here?
samwoo Posted August 17, 2023 Posted August 17, 2023 Hi @Berto2002, Unfortunately, I am not sure what the public setting is meant for. We have ours set to Customer by default: We've not had any issues with this particular setting. Sorry I'm not much help in this case. Thanks, Samuel
Adrian Simpkins Posted August 17, 2023 Posted August 17, 2023 Hi Berto - I do actually have a call open that I have just not had time to look at where I noticed one User was showing the Public option on the drop down, but when I looked at the same request I only saw Customer or Team as an option so I would definitely want to understand some more around this setting and how it works. Many thanks 1
