Jim Posted August 7, 2023 Posted August 7, 2023 Are there any concerns to changing an asset type for assets of the same class
James Ainsworth Posted August 8, 2023 Posted August 8, 2023 Hi Jim, Thanks for your post. There shouldn't be any issues, but there is always the possibility that on your Hornbill you may have reports, captures, workflows, imports, asset views, etc that use that asset type and that might rely on there being assets of that type. It is always worth having a good look through your configuration before making a change.
Jim Posted August 8, 2023 Author Posted August 8, 2023 @James Ainsworth we have nothing fully configured yet in the way of assets we are currently working on this now, is there an easy way to change the type or does it have to be via api?
James Ainsworth Posted August 8, 2023 Posted August 8, 2023 Are you using an import tool to add and update assets? If so, I would have thought that just updating the information as part of your import would have done the trick.
Jim Posted August 9, 2023 Author Posted August 9, 2023 Yeah we will be I was just querying if there was any way within the gui to do so but I think that's the route we will be taking for the main via the import
