Afternoon All,

We use the goAzure2HUserImport tool to import our users into HornBill. We would like to be able to Archive Leaver accounts, but there does not seem to be an obvious setting in the *.json to undertake this process. What would be considered best practise to dynamically Archive users when they are removed from the Active Directory Group? In an ideal world we would like the account archived and the email address removed.

Thanks

The way I would do this would be to ensure that the Users I wish to archive are moved to a specific Azure AD OU, and have a separate Import to set these Users to have an Archived Status.

i.e:

  • Joe Bloggs joins the Company
  • Joe is added to the "IT Services" OU
  • The Import Tool picks up Joe's details and creates a Hornbill Account
  • Joe leaves the Company
  • Joe's AD Account is moved to the "Leavers" OU
  • The "Archive" import picks up Joe's account from and updates the values/status accordingly

Hi Steve,

Thanks for the super speedy response, sounds like it is exactly what I need.

Will give it a go and feedback the result.

Thanks

Looks like I need a little more help. I can't seem to find the syntax of the filter for OU?

Thanks

Osman
