Adrian Simpkins
Hi All I am trying to work out which role grants permissions to open up the 'Edit' button on an activity (Screen shot below). I have the option under my logon but I have access all areas. Basically I want anyone with existing elevated Service Manager rights (Managers/Team Leads etc) to be able to reassign the activity within their teams Many thanks as always
Steve Giller
As you're specifically talking about reassigning the Task, the Re-Assignment Rules are detailed on the wiki page. I believe the edit button should be available if the User is the owner is assigned the Task is in the assigned group or role (when the Task is not assigned to an individual) is an Admin User and the Task is not cancelled
Adrian Simpkins
Thanks Steve, it may well be the Admin role I am looking for then as I want teams to be able to reassign their own tasks going forward I will take a look at the wiki page again Many thanks as always
Steve Giller
Rather than increasing the number of Users with the Admin role it may be better to assign Tasks to Groups/Roles rather than individuals. Additionally, ensuring that a Task has an Owner will give an extra level of flexibility.
Adrian Simpkins
Thanks Steve, yes ideally I would avoid Admin allocation so will have to talk to the team to identify who will be the owner of these tasks going forward. Many thanks as always
