chriscorcoran
we are turning off some legacy protocols in office 365, one is pop, which looking at our AD signin logs this is the protocol Hornbill uses. What do I need to do to avoid email stopping in Hornbill when I switch off pop?
Michael M
Hi Chris, POP3 is one of the means that Hornbill uses to retrieve emails. Even though POP3 is a legacy protocol it is still one of the primary and most compatible means to retrieve email across multiple providers. Microsoft and other providers has provided a way to modernise this protocol to secure it via modern authentication using OAuth2. To use this mechanism and continue using POP3, please refer to this Wikipage, How to configure OAuth2 Authentication for Microsoft Office 365 Mailbox integration - Hornbill. This would allow Hornbill to continue receiving emails.
