@Victor morning everyone, what's the best process to disable the function for users to log tickets but keep service manager itself LIVE so we can continue to work on open tickets while testing the portal etc?

I was thinking of temporarily disabling the below option?

Thanks as always

@John C do you want to prevent requests raised from portal or user app too? If just portal then you can disable portal visibility for the service(s) or you can set the catalog items service desk only. Disabling user log in via SSO achieves the same but it is a bit extreme... it will prevent users from log in Hornbill altogether...

Hi @John C

Sorry if I have misunderstood, but if you are just testing out the Employee Portal and don't want any of it accessible by anyone, you can use the Users to preview the Employee Portal field.  As long as this is populated with at least one user, no other user will be able to see the Employee Portal, other than those listed in this field.

@James Ainsworth that option sounds perfect however I entered a user not myself to the field above and I can still access it to log a ticket!?

Does replication/sync take long or is instant?

That might be because you are an admin.  See if you can have another regular user login to test the visibility.  The setting should be immediate, unless the user is already viewing the Employee Portal at the time you add users.  It would then take affect after they logout or a browser refresh occurs.

Hi @John C

I've tested in my environment and limiting the users using this preview option is working for me.  Can you confirm the URL that you are using to access the self service and if possible, a screen grab of the roles that you have set on the user that you are testing this with.
