Backlog and Measure

we are currently monitoring the backlog of a specific Team, now this team will be splitted in 5 different teams (with geographical area competence), which will be the impact to the measure?
if i change the query on the measure, the already sampled date will still be available?
for example if I change the query from:

to this:

While I couldn't say for sure, I would suspect that the existing data would only be impacted if you perform a resample after you have made the change.

@James Ainsworth I made a test on copy measure and it works as you supposed, the measure is still in running state so I expect the old data will be there.
