Please could we request the following:

Notification to appear for the analyst, when a customer replies to a live chat window. So we can see the customer has replied to us (Highlight window within browser) 

See below where this would be good to notify:

We would like to request this feature, as our analysts will have upto 4 live chat sessions running at any one time. Like how MSN Messenger used to display notification:

UPDATE: 

We have found a way to show in Windows notifications when a new chat is started by a customer, but not when they reply.

+1 for this.

I think chat notifications are something that are seriously lacking at the moment. Audible alerts and desktop notifications for us would be best, for both customer and advisor.

It would be good to see this prioritised, given that notifications are a pretty standard feature on the majority of other platforms

Hi all,


In the latest release of livechat you will now see [NEW] in the title of any chats that have received further messages since you last view therm.  You can also now receive desktop notifications and/or in app toast popups indicating when new messages have been received in chats you are participating in if you are not currently viewing that chat.

The desktop notifications can be configured on the notification tab of the My Personal Settings page, accessible by click the cog at the bottom left of the screen, the toast popup can be configured on the Chat Session page by clicking on the bell icon.
