New Admin UI change has caused missing reports

Recommended Posts

Hello,

We moved to the new admin UI and noticed that within service manager a number of reports have gone missing.

Upon investigation we can see they are still within the Admin -> Configuration -> Service Manager -> Reporting

They are marked as available like the other reports that we can see.

However all users who had access to use these reports are no longer able to see the report.

Attached are an example of the reports missing.

Any ideas why some reports are not making its way into service manager following the change to the new Admin UI?

Hi James,

So as long as they have access to reports they should see all of the ones that were created for the application they are currently administering i.e. service manager, project manager and so on.

When you say users don't have access do you mean they don't have the "Reports" link in the left hand navigation bar? There have been no changes in the way the reporting option is granted to a user or how the list is retrieved. To view reports a user requires the one of the following roles  "Advanced Reporting Admin" (to create/update/delete reports) or "Reporting User" (to view reports). This has always been the case.

However if you are saying that the users in question can access the report list but reports are missing then can i get you to raise a support request as that will need investigating as there are no restrictions on the data returned, other than it shows reports for the application you are working in.

Cheers

Hello Neil,

Thank You.

The users in question have access to reporting and were able to use it prior to the change to the new admin UI. Since the change these reports are no longer present.

I will raise this as a support request.

Kind Regards

James Ellison

@James Ellison I'm slightly confused by this:

This is where we would expect to see Reports, so the question is, where are you expecting to see them that you are not able to?

Is this the report configuration? The report output? If the latter is this emailed out, sent to Document Manager or do they view the output somewhere else?

Hello Steve,

We can see it in the admin section but when users are logged into there accounts and go to service manager reports the specific reports in question are now missing.

Image below is where the user would go to see and run the reports. However since the change these are now missing.

@James Ellison These are two unrelated features.

The image in your latest post is the In-App reporting feature, these are reports shipped as part of the Service Manager Application and available to all Users with the In-App Reporting role.

The list given in the first post are from the Reports section which is, as you described, available only via the Admin Tool and available to Users with the Reporting Admin role.
