Software Asset Management; so how does it work? No specific Wiki info?

I am trying to work out SAM.

I go here: https://live.hornbill.com/xxx/servicemanager/softwareassetmanagement/ and I see nothing:

I have the Role "Software Asset Management User". There does not appear to be a "Software Asset Management Manager" to mirror other Role types.

There is no Wiki page on SAM itself and the closest I could see was: Manage Vendors, Products, Versions - Hornbill

I have created a Vendor and Product for Service Manager:

And I have associated that with a Cloud Software Asset thus:

But it still does not appear on the page (see first diagram).

I'm a bit stuck on how to get things on this list and how to manage them. Can anyone point me in the right direction, please?

What is the relationship between a Vendor in this section and a Supplier (they should be the same).

I'll try and get some more information on this.  I believe that it might be related to ITOM which can do scans on computers to pull back their installed apps.
