Hope you are all safe and well.  We have been looking at the CMDB fields, please would it be possible to advise on the below?  Thank you

Department Field – Is it possible for this to be a shared field? As applications may be used by more than one department.

Hour Picker – Can we a time picker like a date picker (Start time – End time)

Pick Lists - Can we add our own pick lists to fields?  If so how can we do this?

Hi Ann,

Department Field:  When it comes to who uses the application you might be better using the Share option.   

 

Once shared, you can select the different departments that it is shared with.

 

Hour Picker

Could you let me know if there is a specific field where you are wanting to apply this?  At a glance, I couldn't see any asset fields that contain time, only dates.

Pick Lists

Picklists can't currently be created for fields.  I'll feed this back to the development team.

In regards to the Departments field, we do not have the share function available.  How do we get that on the asset template please?

For the hour picker we would potentially use this in the Number of 1GbE ports field as this is a field we do not currently use.

The Share option is part of the Used By field located in the General Section of all assets.
