MichelleReaney Posted July 9, 2021 Posted July 9, 2021 We are having an issue with broken images in FAQ's. We have started to publish and promote the use of FAQ's across the business and when the FAQ's are first published the images show fine. Today I have looked at them and over 50% now have broken image icons where the screen shot used to be? Does anyone know what could be causing this and how to resolve it?
MichelleReaney Posted July 16, 2021 Author Posted July 16, 2021 Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
Jeremy Posted July 16, 2021 Posted July 16, 2021 @MichelleReaney where are the images hosted? as it looks like the link points somewhere within Hornbill....
MichelleReaney Posted July 16, 2021 Author Posted July 16, 2021 I think they are hosted externally, we don't appear to have access to these
Jeremy Posted July 16, 2021 Posted July 16, 2021 if you put the URL into a browser and you can't see the image load then these will not be able to be pulled through to your FAQ for some of our images we host them on imgur.com and make them private images....this link is then added to the FAQ or form etc.
MichelleReaney Posted July 16, 2021 Author Posted July 16, 2021 Thanks Jeremy. Might be something we have to look into if we cannot find a fix but this should not be needed as it should just work. They do work for a time and then stop working? URL says DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN I have tested this externally and still cannot see the images so it is nothing internal to us causing it.
Nanette Posted July 28, 2021 Posted July 28, 2021 @MichelleReaneyWe have identified defect an issue, which will be fixed in the next Service Manager update. This is planned to be pushed out next week. Please keep an eye on the announcements section of the forums for any updates relating to our builds. Many thanks, Nanette. 1
