Hello,

We are using the <span> tag in the Text widget to change the appearance of our text.

Please could we request the use of the <details> and <summary> tags in the Text widgets so we can also view/hide additional details?

Many thanks,
Alisha

@Alisha the appearance can be changed using the <span> tag because this is an HTML tag, these are basically keywords that define how web browsers - not Hornbill - will format and display the content - provided by Hornbill. Since Hornbill is accessed via a web browser one can make use of HTML tags to have the content formatted. The the <details> and <summary> are not HTML tags, there is no such thing as <details> and <summary> in the context of HTML.

What exactly you mean by "use of the <details> and <summary> tags in the Text widgets so we can also view/hide additional details", can you give an example of what you try to achieve?

HI @Alisha,

Widgets are designed to be very simple to keep a clean and simple interface. What I suggest if you want to add more information to a section is to create a new page under a domain and using the text widget you can add the extra text. From the original text widget you can add a link to the new one.

Regards,

Daniel.
