Hornbill SM performance issues

We're frequently seeing Hornbill SM performance slow to a crawl. This affects the admin, live and customer screens and can last for some time. We've carried out a full re-index of Hornbill ITSM and it hasn't helped. Given we're the only ones experiencing this, is there anything else we should look at our side?

Should also add, we're also seeing the error:

For anyone reading this: Please do not perform this exercise unless advised as such by Hornbill Staff. Unfortunately the indexing engine (due to be replaced soon) is not always working quite well. Performing a reindex unadvised can cause more performance issues than one think it solves. If there is a need for data to be reindexed this should be performed by Hornbill and we will liaise with you in this regard.
