Cannot link requests anymore [Search functionality not working]

Hi All,

is anyone having problems with linking requests? I am getting "No results found" message. The request number is correct.

I'm seeing search failures in my searches too. Although I'm able to work around my specific issues, it's probable that it won't work in your situation.

Not seeing issues with outbound emails, but we're experiencing issues with search functionality this morning - searching for requests gives the continuous Hornbill wheel. Anyone seeing this?

Can you please navigate in admin tool: Home - System - Settings - Advanced. Look for this setting: experimental.elasticsearch.enable

It this is enables and looking like this:

Please disable it (turn it off) at your earliest convenience. Let me know once this is done, if this resolves the search issue.

Hi @Victor,

I have disabled the setting and carried out a search, and finally received results.  Other colleagues have checked, and the search is working fine now.  Was there something in last night's ESP update that conflicted with this setting?

Cheers for promptly providing a solution.

Thanks,

Samuel

Yes. But is an experimental setting so this kind of issues are not totally unexpected...

Thanks, yeah, I wondered when it was turned on as I recognise that setting from a while ago - just a shame that there is no audit trail for any of the settings (that I can see).

Do we lose any functionality or search capability by having this disabled?

No, searching should be working as usual.
