Martyn Houghton
When logging a request in the Employee Portal the Knowledgebase lookup results is expanded by default and also does not respect the sizing of the Employee Portal window. Either window need to be resized to allow for content or scroll bar used for results. Cheers Martyn
Daniel Dekel
Hi @Martyn Houghton, The browser's window does allow you to scroll down to see all the results. Is it not the case? Cheers, Daniel.
Martyn Houghton
@Daniel Dekel You can indeed scroll down using the main browser window, but the presentation layout is not respecting the layout of the page. The presentation in the service portal was a lot cleaner and professional. Also it does not expand by default to show all the content for all types. Daniel Dekel
@Martyn Houghton I understand the way the current knowledge is not the best and we are looking in to improving this, so it will change. For now, up until you type the third character it won't show you any knowledge. is that not what you see? after typing... Cheers, Daniel.
Martyn Houghton
@Daniel Dekel That's correct, rather than showing as an icon with a count against the type, as soon as you type the third character the form layout is over written completely. Daniel Dekel
Ok @Martyn Houghton, I just wanted to make sure you see when you are supposed to see. I've added your request to our list. It shouldn't take long, probably in our 2nd next build. Regards, Daniel.
Martyn Houghton
@Daniel Dekel Is there any update on fixing the layout of the Knowledgebase pop out? Cheers Martyn
Daniel Dekel
Hi @Martyn Houghton, Is done but our build is taking longer than the usual because of other changes. But will be in the next one. Hopefully next week. Thanks, Daniel.
Martyn Houghton
@Daniel Dekel Thanks for the update. I keep an eye out for it being released. Cheers Martyn
Martyn Houghton
@Daniel Dekel Did this ever get released as we are still experiencing the issue and calls from our users to turn off Knowledge Centre as it makes completing the progressive capture very cumbersome when filling in the Summary/Description? Cheers Martyn
Daniel Dekel
Hi @Martyn Houghton, Yes, the build was released but depending where the summary field is, there is a minimum height of 250 pixels because if is smaller than that it will be unusable. I found also that in some cases the popup will go some 30 pixels off the screen and I've just fixed this. The following screenshot is how it looks now. Next week we'll make a new build with the correction of the 30 pixels. Is that you case? Thanks, Daniel.
Martyn Houghton
@Daniel Dekel It is more the usability, we start typing in summary and can even complete entering this an tabbed to the next field before it then takes over and obliterates the form. It needs to open expanded in the righthand panel (preference as it is more visible) or should appear as a header (i.e. like below) so the user can choose to open the details. I appreciate it is currently using the same UI as when the function is used in the Search element on the main employee portal, but it does need to be a bit more appropriate for use in the interactive progressive capture form operation. Nice idea +1 it should dynamically push down the contents of the form
Daniel Dekel
@Martyn Houghton we are aware that the usability of the knowledge is not the best as mentioned previously and that will change. This popup height is just a temporary solution to the scrolling issue. Cheers, Daniel.
