Martyn Houghton
@Gerry In relation to the recent announcement about Hornbill Single Sign On, can you confirm the scope of this, in particular will it also apply to the Customer Portal login process where SSO profiles can be used? Also, when selecting 'Login with Single Sign On', if you have multiple SSO defined will the selection be present on the same screen or will it just then link to the current selection screen for choosing the SSO profile to use? Cheers Martyn
Gerry
@Martyn Houghton In response to your questions.. "In relation to the recent announcement about Hornbill Single Sign On, can you confirm the scope of this, in particular will it also apply to the Customer Portal login process where SSO profiles can be used?" GERRY: Not at the moment, this specifically relates to the Admin and User (including Employee Portal) applications. "Also, when selecting 'Login with Single Sign On', if you have multiple SSO defined will the selection be present on the same screen or will it just then link to the current selection screen for choosing the SSO profile to use?" GERRY: Yes exactly, this is one of the many reasons we wanted to improve this. If SSO is configured AND you have more than one profile, you will be able to select the profile. If its the first time you have logged in there will be no profile selected. Once you log in, that page will remember the last profile you logged in with and pre-select it so you dont have to do it each time. Gerry
Martyn Houghton
@Gerry Sorry to double check, but I just logged in the Hornbill's Customer Support Portal to update my support tickets with yourselves and got the new login page, which is as far as I am aware the customer/service portal. Is this just something that is specific to your implementation of the customer portal? Cheers Martyn
Gerry
@Martyn Houghton I will be honest and say, I am not sure, my understanding was thats a different code-base so not sure whats going on there, it might be something specific to us... but hmmm.... I will go and find out and post back Gerry
Martyn Houghton
@Gerry Is there any update on this? I am hoping it does apply the customer portal so that it will be able to support both Hornbill Authentication and SSO, as per our other post below. TrevorHarris
@Martyn Houghton Just to confirm the login changes will not apply to the customer/service portal atm. However you can enable Hornbill Login as an option whilst using saml by eanlbing the below setting which can be found Home > Applications > Hornbill Collaboration > Application Settings in the admin tool guest.anonymous.saml.guest.allowhornbilllogin This will add the option Hornbill Direct Login to the dropdown list of identity providers in the select your identity provider page Thanks Trevor H
HHH
@TrevorHarris Will this replace the current espbasic=true?
TrevorHarris
@HHH Yes, you will no longer need to use the espbasic=true as you will always have the option to use the direct login. The changes are described in more detail here: Thanks Trevor
