Alisha Posted June 9, 2020 Posted June 9, 2020 Hello, Is it possible to request the use of Wiki markup in resolutions please? Specifically when creating an automatic resolution text in the Business Process please? I know there have been similar requests before about using links in resolutions, but I couldn't find a thread for this particular query - sorry if this is a duplication. We would like to insert a few links into a resolution text within the Business Process and make the links look 'cleaner' by using Wiki markup. Otherwise the links are very long. Many thanks, Alisha
Victor Posted June 10, 2020 Posted June 10, 2020 @Alisha can you give me an example of what link you need to use the wiki markup on (does not have to be exact, you can replace text in it to avoid publicising an internal URL) and where in the process you would use it, on what node?
Alisha Posted May 10, 2024 Author Posted May 10, 2024 Hi @Victor, Just revisiting this as we are using SharePoint more now and some of our links can be quite long depending on the page name. For example, something like this: https://xxxxx.sharepoint.com/sites/xxxxxxxxxxxxx-IT-Services/SitePages/xxxx-xxx-xxxx-xxxxxx-xxxxxxx-xxxxx.aspx We would like to use it in the below node. If we could shorten the links in the Resolution text, that would really make it look more professional. Many thanks, Alisha 1
Steve Giller Posted May 10, 2024 Posted May 10, 2024 @Alisha how are you notifying your customers that the Request is closed? I suspect that issues will occur if you're emailing them. Email does not understand wiki markup so although the Resolution would show "Check out my link" when viewed on the Employee Portal, the email sent out would say "[[https://community.hornbill.com/topic/18566-using-wiki-markup-in-resolutions-set-by-the-business-process/#comment-123264|Check out my link]]" in Outlook.
Alisha Posted May 10, 2024 Author Posted May 10, 2024 Hi @Steve Giller, We send an email with the Resolution text. We are not currently using Wiki markup in the Resolution text as I understand that it doesn't work (I tried it a few years ago). We are just putting in the whole link, which doesn't look as nice, especially when we need to use a few links in one email. We would really like the option to shorten our links somehow, as we can do that if emailing directly from Outlook. So this thread is more of a request for an enhancement please. Many thanks, Alisha
