List option on Simple Lists

Hi All,

Is there anyway I can auto sort a simple list's values? I have some medium sized lists which need putting into alphabetical order. However, when viewing the Simple List there are no options or functions to reorder (Apologies if this has been raised previously - I did a search but could not see anything obvious on the results).

Is it possible to reorder a Simple List without having to recreate the values in alphabetical order when creating?

Where are you trying to sort them?
There are sorting options (Asc/Desc/None) when using a Simple List in a custom form, for example - see this thread:

Hi Steve,

ah thanks for the above, I thought I had seen an option to sort the list but just forgot it was in the PC configuration rather than direct in the Simple List within Admin ! I have also just worked out (I think) why some of the options are not in alphabetical order - most of the items begin with a capital letter e.g. Laptop, or Desktop Monitor, but the iPod / iPad options have the lower case at the start so I presume Hornbill sorts alphabetically for items with a Capital letter, and then items with a lower case - am I correct in this presumption?

Yes, this is correct.
The sorting is case sensitive, so you will get [A-Z] then [a-z]
