Asset Management - Software Class - Additional fields

@James Ainsworth as per your reply to @chrisnutt post (link below) about the provision of custom fields in the Asset Management, can we request the following additional standard fields be added to the 'Software Class'.

  • Check String
  • Module Code

As software developer we produce and license software to our external customer, which as well as the a key use a combination of a check string and module code for them to be licensed.

Additional field of 'Software Category' to allow grouping/categorisation. As you will often have a larger number of  asset types based on the 'Software' class, which will be assigned to user/organisation, having the ability to group by/filter by a category would be really useful.

Rather than a field for Software Categorization, would Tags for assets also work for you?

Tags would work for us.
