Upload file type is restricted

I've had a couple of calls in the past week or so telling me that people trying to log a request get the error 'cannot upload file as the file type specified is restricted' when trying to add an attachment.

These document file types are pdf's and NORMALLY a refresh of the page gets round it. I've made sure that people are uploading from a local drive rather than a network drive, but these messages still happen intermittently. Sorry I don't have any more details, but is this something that other people have experienced?

@Paul Alexander are the affected pdf's all above a certain size?  It may possibly be a timeout related issue if only larger pdf's are affected.

No, all the uploads are around 300-400kb in size.

 

It's pretty intermittent...and a page refresh has sorted things out for the ones that I've seen, however it does mean that people lose all of the info they've already put in

This has just happened again when trying to upload a pdf file, which is 997KB in size. 

Opening a new tab and redoing the request has gone through fine.

@Paul Alexander would be worth raising this with the Support team, we may need to go through your logs to see if there are any errors at the point of upload.
