All Asset available display columns

is is possible to add the  to the all Asset View( General Asset Class) ?

the serial number is not a general property, but its specific to certain classes of assets, so it will be possible to add it only in the list of assets belonging to the class that include the property.

I know and thats why im asking. But why is it like that and can we not add it to the general class? In my opinion it would make sense because when i open the view all Assets i would also like to search for a serial number of a device who im not sure what it is or under which typ it was added?

@Nikolaj If you're searching for an asset and you have the serial number but don't know the asset type, wouldn't the global asset search would be the easiest place to search for it?
