Assigning Tasks to a Group or Team

At the moment the default assignment in a task/activity created in project manager is to a user. We have a requirement to assign these tasks to a team so that the team manager can then assign the task to the most appropriate member.

Please can you advise if this is possible or can be added as an option.

Yes its possible to assign a task to a user, a role or a group.  I presume you mean from the BPM, if so, please see the screen shot below.

Project Manager tasks differ in behaviour with regular tasks as they contain many more elements. We are currently limiting the assignment of project tasks to individual users only. However we have a big piece of functionality that is in active development which will allow you to create project tasks that you can assign to an individual, a group, a role, or to no one at all.

@AlexTumber Many thanks, I will let the managers know this is coming. It is quite key to our task assignment and management of workload.
