Link Supplier Manager to Assets

How do we link contracts in Supplier Manager to Assets?

This functionality is still under development but will be released very shortly. An 'Asset' tab will appear at the top of the contract and will allow you to link assets that have been associated to the parent supplier to the contract.

@AlexTumber I can see this was implemented but I want to link an asset to a contract, not a supplier as such to save clutter.  Is this possible?

@Michael Sharp thanks for your post.

In order to associate a contract to an asset, you first need to associate that asset to the parent supplier. This can be done from the parent supplier or from the asset itself.

@AlexTumber is there scope to change this requirement? I only ask because we have some major assets (like infrastructure components) which are serviced with support contracts which I would link to the supplier but then they also act as a reseller for items like laptops which I’m not really that bothered about seeing against the supplier.

@Michael Sharp there aren't any plans to change things at the moment but I will update this thread if things do change in the future.
