Shamaila.Yousaf
An analyst receives the message below when they try and go into their profile settings, any ideas how this would need to be resolved? Thanks in advance.
Steve Giller
Looks like the userId is 111 characters long - which is very long and larger than the field expects. I'd firstly check what the userId is, and if it is that long you might want to get the admins to check what the import is pulling in for their userId, as I wouldn't expect to see one as long as that. If it's not that long then please post back as that would mean there's something odd happening.
Shamaila.Yousaf
Hey, Do you mean to check the user ID in: Home>System>Organisational Data>Users? If so, the username is definitely not 111 characters long. Thanks Sxx
James Ainsworth
Hi Shamaila, One case where I have seen this is that the manage associated to the user's profile has been incorrectly set as part of an import. Best action is to look at the user's profile within Administration to see if the manager or the user name fields for that user contains too many characters.

I forgot about the Manager field!
Shamaila.Yousaf
@James Ainsworth think you're correct - I noticed an issue with the manager on the 2 users also. Think we have an LDAP import in place which updates this field...I'll go back to one of my colleagues to see if they can look into this to see if they can make the necessary changes. Thanks for your assistance both:)
James Ainsworth
There is a User Option setting on the AD Import that enables a Search For Manager Id. I believe that this should be set to on.
