James Ainsworth
Hi Jeremy, I managed to replicate this when using Service Manager build 1550 which is the current build that is on your Hornbill instance. I've also tested on the next build of Service Manager (1554) and I can see that a fix has already been put in place. Please keep an eye open for this next update which will correct this issue. Jeremy
@James Ainsworth do you know when the next release is going to be, as we have something going live for Monday that we need to import assets for....

Jeremy
@James Ainsworth We have applied the update by there seems to be a class missing to be able to import assets, there is a General Asset Type which is missing from the drop down to choose to upload a file? Jeremy
Has anyone else missing this asset class (General)?
James Ainsworth
Hi Jeremy, I'll have a look, but I'm also curious if you know about the Asset Import Utility? The import option on the Assets Menu is nice for small batches of assets, but the Asset Import Utility is more powerful and can manage updates as well as initial imports. Jeremy
@James Ainsworth I didn't know about this Importer, but this seems to be uploading from databases etc when we just have a spreadsheet that we need to import.
James Ainsworth
The issue of the missing General class has been identified. We should have confirmation about a fix over the next 24 hours. The Asset Import Tool also uploads from CSV. I just wanted to let you know about the Importer just in case you find that you have more complex imports in the future. James Ainsworth
Hi Jeremy, The fix was provided in the Service Manager update build 1554. This is already available to you. Let us know if you are still having issues once updated. Regards, James
Jeremy
@James Ainsworth we have updated last week to fix this issue, however the issue is still persists and there is no General Asset Class to be able to upload to. We are getting to a situation where we have a form/process that was supposed to be live 2 weeks ago and cannot as this issue is not fixed.
James Ainsworth
Apologies Jeremy, I was mistaken with the update that this defect fix will be available in. It was actually set to go out on a release following the 1554 update. I'll try and get an estimate of when this will be provided. Usually these turn around in a couple of weeks. Jeremy
As it has been our busy time of year, we have held off making any changes to Hornbill. We are going to be applying the latest updates next week (Wednesday).
