Darren Rose Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 Possibly a silly question, but what was the intended difference between the current and active states in Asset Manager?
Deen Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 @Darren Rose this is covered somewhat in the following wiki article: https://wiki.hornbill.com/index.php/Asset_Types The differences can be defined by the nature of the sub states you choose to add to these states.
James Ainsworth Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 Not a silly question at all. There is some room for your own interpretation of what they mean and how you want to use these two statuses. I personally see the difference with these descriptions as... Current - this may be an asset that has just arrived and you want to add it to your asset stock, but it is not yet in active use. Or possibly it was an active asset in use by someone who has just left the company, and it has been put back in storage to be used later. So, it is not active, nor is it retired. Active - live and in use.
